Terms and Conditions

By engaging with TIA Taxidermy (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you (“the client”) agree to the following terms and conditions, which govern the use of our services, including all work carried out through our premises and website (tiataxidermy.co.za).

1. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices are subject to change based on material costs, size, and condition of the specimen. Final pricing will be confirmed upon inspection of the specimen.

2. Deposits and Payment

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before any work will commence.

  • The balance (remaining 50%) is due upon completion of the work and before the item is released or shipped.

  • Payments can be made via EFT or any method confirmed in writing.

  • No trophies will be released until full payment is received.

 

3. Specimen Condition and Liability

  • We cannot be held responsible for any damage, spoilage, or deterioration of trophies prior to their arrival at our premises.

  • We also assume no liability for any damage after the trophy leaves our premises, whether collected by the client or handled by a third-party courier.

  • Any damage incurred during transport is the responsibility of the transport company.

  • Natural deterioration or wear and tear over time (such as cracking, fading, or hair slippage) is a normal occurrence and is the client’s responsibility. We do not guarantee indefinite preservation.

     

4. Turnaround Time
Estimated turnaround times will be provided upon receipt of the specimen and confirmation of payment. These are approximate and may vary due to workload, availability of materials, or unforeseen circumstances. Delays will be communicated.

5. Collection & Storage

  • Completed trophies must be collected within 30 days of notification of completion unless alternative arrangements are made in writing.

  • We reserve the right to charge a reasonable storage fee for items not collected within this period.

  • If a completed trophy is not collected within 90 days and full payment has not been received, the item may be sold or disposed of to recover costs, unless prior arrangements have been made.

 

6. Ownership and Risk
All work remains the property of TIA Taxidermy until full payment is received. Once released or dispatched, ownership and risk transfer to the client.

7. Use of Images
By engaging our services, you grant us the right to photograph and use images of completed work for marketing purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.

8. Legal & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
