Our taxidermy process: From hunt to display
Preserving your hunting memories should be as seamless as the adventure itself.
That’s why we’ve designed a step-by-step taxidermy process that ensures precision, quality, and hassle-free delivery.
From selecting your mounts and securing your order to expert craftsmanship and worldwide shipping, we handle every detail with care. With us, your trophies receive the respect they deserve—crafted to perfection and delivered with ease.
1. Discuss your taxidermy options
After completing your hunting expedition, your outfitter will present you with taxidermy options and a price list detailing available services and costs.
2. Confirm your order
Once you choose to work with us, we issue a detailed taxidermy register outlining:
- The specific animals you wish to mount.
- The type of work to be done (e.g., full mount, shoulder mount, skull mount).
- The total cost of your selected services.
3. Secure your order with a deposit
A 50% deposit is required to initiate the process.
4. Trophy collection and inspection
Your outfitter will deliver salted skins, skulls, and other parts to our studio. Upon arrival, we inspect and tag each item for quality assurance and proper identification.
5. Client notification
We notify you once your trophies have been received and are ready for processing.
6. Preparation and mounting instructions
Before we begin mounting, we consult with you to finalise specific instructions—such as the positioning of the head or the animal’s expression.
7. Expert craftsmanship in action
Our skilled taxidermists meticulously prepare, sculpt, and mount your trophy to capture its natural beauty and lifelike detail.
8. Packing and shipping
Once the mounting process is complete, your trophies are securely crated for export. Our trusted shipping partner, Rex Freight, collects the finished work.
9. Shipping arrangements and export permits
Rex Freight contacts you to discuss shipping costs, estimated delivery times, and necessary export permits. They manage all required documentation and logistics, ensuring a seamless international delivery process.
10. Final delivery to your destination
Your trophies are transported with utmost care and precision, arriving at your chosen location ready for display.
